Temperature and Humidity Control System in a small Hothouse using Fuzzy Control

Abstract

If the temperature and humidity of a home simple greenhouse are controllable with high precision, it will become easy to cultivate the difficult plant of growth and to make it bloom in winter.
Humidity management of daytime, temperature management at night, and mutual management of temperature and humidity are fields which fuzzy control makes elated.
Control devices, such as a heater, and a humidifier, a fan, were installed into the greenhouse, the fuzzy control program was developed, and fuzzy control was studied.
Moreover, in consideration of the change of relative humidity to temperature, the rule of temperature control and humidity control was set up experientially.
The number is 20 rules and was performed by the simple reasoning method.
Temperature control based on a reasoning result was performed by phase control of heater voltage. Since humidity used the humidifier of heater heating, it became the same control system as temperature.
Consequently, compared with the result depended on on-off control, in the case of fuzzy control, the range of fluctuation of temperature or humidity was small, and it brought a good result near a setting value.
