ABSTRACT
This paper is concerned with a scheme to identification and control for main-steam temperature raising in super heater system of thermal power plant. Generally, it is well known that the super heater system is stochastic and non-linear, because input signals FF(Fuel Flow) and SF(Steam Flow) is influenced by disturbance produced in the fuel supplying process. Therefore, when modeling the super heater system, Quasi-ARMAX model that can describe a wide variety of non-linearity is used.
In the past work, the identification and control of the super heater system should be tried under a stochastic situation, and two types of adaptive control system using Quasi-ARMAX model are designed. One adaptive control method is based STR(Self-Tuning Regulator), and the other control method is SMC(Sliding-Mode Control). The comparison of their control performances was introduced in SICE Annual Conference 2002 in Osaka (SICE2002).
In this work, we focus attention on control design parameters of STR-based adaptive control system in order to analyze the control performance under the stochastic situation. Hence, we examine the relation between the control design parameters and the control performance of STR-based adaptive control system through simulation studies.
