ABSTRACT
This paper reports the force and torque measurement of transition from wheel chair to stool. To understand motion characteristics of disabled persons is important to supporting their life. However, the motion measurement in restroom is difficult because of invasion of privacy and experimental difficulty. In this paper, we measure the force and torque of stool under and also the balustrade root. The human subjects are 29 persons. The hadicapped presons are 12 person and the normal presons are 17 persons. The handicapped presons use wheel chair in dialy movement. The normal persons don”Ēt use wheel chair in this experiment. In case of the handicapped person, the force of level and vertical direction is larger than normal preson. Also, even the fluctuation of the point of action in the resting place face is large in the case of the handicapped person. We glued the cushion materials under the resting place and experimented whether or not shock becomes small. In case of glued the cushion materials, a little reduction trend of the shock is seen.
