| A large size coil with wide openings for magnetic motion capture |

| ABSTRACT |
| A large size coil system is proposed for the motion capture. The coil system has large openings on its sides. Five coil set proposed by Rubens is used for producing one uniform magnetic field Hx. The outer most coil pair carries 1.9 A, the inner coil pair 0.4 A and the center coil 1 A. Another coil set producing the second uniform magnetic field pairs of square coils in which the large coil pair is placed closer each other than the small coil pair. The outer coil pair carries 0.35 A and the inner coil pair 1 A. The uniform nature of Hz changes from the starting point rapidly at 0.25 m from the origin. A global linear-gradient magnetic field is produced by the same coil producing Hz with different set of the current. The outer coil pair carries 0.5 A and the inner coil pair 1 A. The region about 0.25 m from the origin is good linearity. The tracking accuracy estimated is 5 mm within the region about 0.15 m from the origin and 10 mm within the region about 0.2 m from the origin |
