ABSTRACT |
The ultrasonic Doppler measurement is one of the most popular methods monitoring the fetal well-being. However, it has been difficult to monitor the fetal well-being without optimizing the position of ultrasonic probes because the observed echoes may include the information of the maternal body, and acoustic transfer functions are affected by the fetal movement. This paper proposes a novel monitoring system utilizing blind signal separation (BSS), which is applied to mixtures of echoes (FM signals) from the fetal heart's wall and the blood flow in the uterine artery. |
